Lead shielding is available for all applicants, including male and female applicants aged 55 years and under.
Lead shielding is available for pregnant women who are confirmed to be 14 weeks or older and choose to have a chest x-ray.
As per Australian Government guidelines, the clinic cannot provide x-rays for individuals who are less than 14 weeks pregnant.

New exam 705 - Serum Creatinine and eGFR (July 1st, 2023～)
Changes to Immigration Medical Examinations (IME) came into effect on 1 July 2023.
The urinalysis used to screen applicants for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is being replaced with a more reliable blood test.
Any visa applicant 15 years or older, who has not undertaken their health examination prior to 1 July 2023 is required
to undertake a blood test (serum creatinine/eGFR) when they attend their IME appointment.
Children between 5 and 14 years old are only required to undertake a blood test if there is a history or risk of CKD.

慢性腎臓病（CKD）スクリーニングのために実施されていた尿検査は、より信頼性の高い血液検査に置き換えられました。

If you are taking prescription medications, please bring a medical letter written by your doctor indicating the diagnosis and details of the prescription and treatment course. Medical letters written in Japanese are accepted. Medical letters must be signed by a medical doctor. If stored in electronic form, please print out and submit. 4. Vaccination Records/Child Health Handbook (*Not mandatory). Valid Vaccine Records must contain documentation to confirm the vaccine content, the vaccinating facility, date, and identity of the patient. If recorded in electronic form, please bring a printout and submit. 5. Glasses (for those who use them) Attention: 1. If the name on the passport differs from the name on the visa application, the medical examination may not proceed without prior approval from the embassy. Please contact the embassy for instructions before the medical examination. 2. If the HAP ID/TRN/Visa Request ID is not confirmed, we will not be able to proceed with the medical exam. 3. If you are pregnant, please notify us during the medical exam. 4. If you are currently being treated for or have previously been treated for tuberculosis, please bring your past chest X-rays. 5. Please wear comfortable clothing on the day of your appointment. 6. You may eat or drink before the examination. 7. A guardian must accompany applicants under 18 years of age. 8. Tests required for a visa medical examination must be performed at a designated facility. The doctor will review test results from other facilities during the interview. However, they are not accepted as substitutes for the mandatory tests required for the visa medical exam. 9. Those who are bringing small children are requested to bring someone to accompany them during the examination. 10. If you are using corrected vision, please make sure that your vision in either eye is 0.5 or better (20/40). 11. Only the Department is authorized to view your visa medical examination report. Disclosure of the medical examination report must be made directly to the Department. Results: 7 to 10 business days* *If all tests show no abnormalities. ビザ健診：胸部レントゲン要件について
ビザ健診では、結核を否定するため医療診察、問診、検査（胸部レントゲン）が行われます。これらの規則があるのは、結核の診断が難しいためで、適切に診断治療されずに渡航後に結核を拡散させる危険性を減らすためにあります。
胸部レントゲンは、大使館指定の読影医により評価されます。読影医は定期的な大使館の指導を受けた専門医です。読影医により胸部レントゲンに異常が指摘された場合、所見によっては追加検査（喀痰培養など）が指示されます。喀痰培養には最低6週間以上の培養期間と８週以内の最終報告が指定されています。喀痰採取は大使館指定医療機関で行います。 ＊胸部レントゲン検査は妊娠中の方も必要な検査です。胎児への影響を最小限にするためにプロテクター（２重）をつけてのレントゲン撮影を行います。妊娠を理由に胸部レントゲン検査を延期する場合は、出産後まで健診を延期します。妊娠中のレントゲン撮影についての詳細は、受診される前にかかりつけ産科医ともご確認ください。 |
Visa Medical Exam: Chest X-ray Requirment
For persons applying from visa, the tuberculosis screening is performed as an essential component of the medical evaluation. Because tuberculosis is a challenging disease to diagnose, treat, and control, this policy is designed to detect and treat tuberculosis disease among applicants and to reduce the risk of spreading tuberculosis.
All the chest X-rays are read by Panel Radiologists designated by the Embassy. The Panel Radiologists are regularly trained and monitored by the Embassy. If an abnormality is detected, additional tests such as a sputum culture are required. Specimens reported as negative should be cultured for a minimum of 6 weeks, with a final report produced within 8 weeks of collection. All the sample collections are performed only at a designated facility. ＊The chest X-ray is a requirement for all applicants, including those who are pregnant. To minimize any effect on the unborn child, a lead-protector (double layer) will be used for all pregnant women. However, if you would like to postpone the X-ray due to pregnancy, the visa medical examination will be deferred until after birth of the child. Please consult with your obstetrician for more details regarding X-rays during pregnancy before your appointment as well. |

特定の国に 過去 12 か月以内に4 週間以上滞在した申請者は、12 か月以内にポリオの予防接種を受けていることを証明する必要があります。 予防接種記録がない場合は、ポリオ予防接種を健診時に行う必要があります。

＜Polio vaccine requirement＞
Applicants who have visited certain countries for 4 weeks or more within the last 12 months are required to show proof of polio vaccination within the last 12 months. If no vaccination records are available, polio vaccination will be given at the time of examination.
